Everyone around has been complaining about the weather… and isn’t it oblivious as the scorching heat has now given rise to the terrible monsoon humidity. Does the weather ever bring in good news? Well if the answer is always no… you need all the tips and tricks to come out victorious on the other side of the weather every time.

Best Kept Sunny Day Beauty Secrets

It is not always about beauty but also about health. Both go hand in hand and thus to feel beautiful outside you must ensure its all well on the inside. We shall bring to you loads of information about how you can survive this monsoon with simple things you can do at home.

First up are natural and simple skincare tips that enable you to take care of your skin with minimum fuss and maximum benefits.

Dry Skin Problems and Care:
Dryness is due to lack of minerals that help skin maintain its elasticity and texture. It’s a sign of dehydration and lack water. The most simple and achievable solution to this problem is to drink as much water as you can. Water helps flush out toxins from your body and works as a cleanser and moisturizer that nourishes your skin from within.

Oily Skin Problems and Care:
Oiliness is a natural phenomenon that is directly related to genes and there isn’t a definite cure for it. However, countering oily skin is an on-going slow yet a gradual process that will change the way you feel. One of the key care routines that can be inculcated is to use warm water for cleansing as it helps break the oil and gives skin a natural shine.

Combination Skin Problems and Care:
Skin types that swing from one extreme to another need extra skincare to match one with the other. Extreme caution and vigilance should be ensured so as not to damage the skin one way or the other.

Though particular skin types need specific skincare routines, the following tips will ensure a healthy glowing skin irrespective of the condition:
  • Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily, you can infuse it with lemon, mint and cucumber if needed. But do not add any artificial flavors.
  • Use sunscreen and moisturize your skin every day, keep it hydrated from the outside as well for a soft and smooth feel. Avoid alcohol based skincare and make-up products as humidity opens your pores and you don’t want to clog them with irritants.
  • In case you suffer from suntan use home remedies depending upon your skin type to get rid of the discoloration. But if you don't want that hassle try the new Spinz, Sun-Tan Remover (back link to the product page) that is the new it-product to combat the Sunny Days in a simple 5 steps. I found it quite by chance last week and now it’s definitely included in my skincare routine! I find it especially useful after a day outdoors when I take my daughter to the park or when I’m out during the day for an event. It’s easy to use and requires a maximum of 10 minutes (1 min pre-up time, 1 min for application, 5 mins for working it's magic and 2 mins to clean and look your gorgeous self) to take effect. So whether I’m at home or on the go I make sure to have a Spinz with me at all times. It’s a great product as not only is it bleach-free but also is dermatologically tested for all skin types which are what I like best about it. So now I don’t fear the sun cause I now have #SpinzBanTheTan my knight in shining amour to save me.
  • Wash your face every 4-5 hours to get rid of the excess dust, oil and perspiration using a natural product that is rich in ayurvedic properties of turmeric, honey and almonds.
  • Avoid shaving and stick to waxing or epilation that gives your body a perfect cleanse. Facials, body scrubs, body wraps. massages, manicures and pedicures are recommended to give your skin the much needed pampering. Apply milk cream or virgin coconut oil on your lips and under your eyes to reduce darkness and puffiness.
But don’t forget the golden rule that to look gorgeous on the outside, you have to be healthy inside. So indulge in a fair share of vegetables and fruits along with plenty of fluids to keep your skin healthy, glowing and warm all through the seasons.

Most of all go out and enjoy the beauty!

Every child is a welcome addition to the family. After the waiting period of months, the little bundle of joy comes into our lives and fills it with joy, excitement and above all a lot of responsibility.
Dabur’s Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil Review

Over the years, body massage for babies is the norm in every household inspite of doctors negatively nodding to the activity. Our grandmothers have instilled in our the importance of oil massage followed by warm milk scrubbing not only to strengthen the baby’s bones and muscles but also infuse the skin with a warm glow and get rid of baby hair.

When my little princess was born, I ensured that the massage was religiously followed and she gained positively through the experience. Infact even today when she sees her little cousin being massaged she willingly goes to the ‘maushi’ for her fill as well. A couple of years ago we used normal massage oils, however now Dabur has launched Dabur Baby Massage Oil gave us an opportunity to review it for the #FirstLove activity by Dabur and here is what it’s all about in a nutshell.

Dabur’s Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil Review

What is Dabur's Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil all about?
Dabur's Baby Oil infused with olive and almonds claims to strengthen bones and muscles after regular use. It pampers the baby’s skin providing it nourishment and gently moisturises the delicate skin making it soft and supple.

What are the ingredients of the Dabur's Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil?

Dabur's Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil contains Natural Oils including Sunflower, Sesame, Olive, Almond, Jojoba; Fragrance, Antioxidants Tocopheryl Acetate And TBHQ.

How is Dabur's Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil packaged and priced?

Dabur's Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil is packed in a plastic bottle with a flip cap for use. It looks like a well-packaged product especially for use and incase of travel. The bottle is priced at INR 110 for 100 ml, which is a decent price given the mix of natural oils and anti-oxidants. The shelf life is 24 months.

My experience with Dabur's Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil
Dabur’s Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil Review

Since my child is very fond of getting massages she absolutely loved the oil and whenever she saw it she grabbed the bottle from the shelf and asked me for a massage. One of the few things that sets Dabur's Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil apart from the others is the non-greasy texture that enables even a mild baby body wash to cleanse it thoroughly. A gently wash leaves the skin soft and supple and a visibly healthier skin. Inner strength also reflects in the rapid movements and attaining the growth milestones in a timely manner.

Since my cousin delivered a few days earlier, I gave her a bottle without the label to gauge her reaction. I told her that it was prepared by my mother-in-law at home and had a lot of properties that helped the child during the growth years. She told me that after a few days of use, she could see a drastic change in her baby and asked me for the recipe to make it. I simply sent her another bottle with its packaging and she was stunned. Dabur products and other health and beauty products can be purchased from the Indian Beauty Store Nykaa, and it's worth purchasing products using Nykaa coupons to avail amazing discounts. She said she would never ever think about using such a product but simple normal oil, and is now sold on Dabur's Olive & Almond Baby Massage Oil.

Product Strengths:
§ Infused with Natural Oils and Antioxidants
§ Paraffin and artificial colours free
§ Dermatologically tested for skin safety

Product Weaknesses:
§ Infused with Fragrance

Will I purchase the range again for personal use?              Mostly
Will I recommend the range to my friends and family?        Definitely

If you have a little one, you must give the product a try.

Life is poised at the beautiful juncture and from here on its all about bigger dreams and aspirations. So much to do not only for ourselves but also our loved ones becomes paramount; most of my dreams are centred around my little princess and my husband. Little by little the list keeps growing and wishes become wants that demand to be fulfilled. Sometimes categorization comes into the picture and some are on the Yes list and some go directly into the No list, while some are debated at the Maybe list.

Apart from the zillion things that I dream about in my life, a few of them have never remained unchanged over the last decade or so.

Take A Year Off To Go Back-Packing Through New Zealand
New Zealand has been my bucket list for a long time, and not in the traditional way of a fortnight in the tourist spots. I want to spend a year experiencing the local life, working through the communities of expats, and indulging in every opportunity the land offers.

Celebrating My Little One’s Big Day At A Romantic Destination

Given that #PrincessHeer just turned three and a wedding is nowhere close even in the mind, a mother’s heart already has a lot of dreams. A destination wedding in a romantic city like Paris or on a private island in Thailand with loads of ceremonies lined is being organized in my mind since the first time I held her in my arms.

Retiring Without A Care In The World

One of the most important things that I’ve always wanted is to retire financially sound and monetarily sound. Once we kick off the office shoes, I want my hubby and myself to be self-sustaining in every way. Be it wanting to travel, or a medical emergency or a celebration that arrives, we should be able to fund every stage of our life ourselves without having to depend on anyone. And an added bonus would be to leave a legacy for our children to cherish must after we have gone.

And to take these dreams from wishes to reality we need to plan well in advance both in terms of timelines and financial capabilities, just like this couple.

Money matters take precedent to everything else as your dreams are largely dependent on a well-planned life for a beautiful tomorrow. Sometimes keeping track of what you want and how you want to achieve them help in accessing where you stand from time to time; because Kal Khoobsurat Hai.

Plan Your Long And Happy Life With Exide Life's My Money Book

Exide Life has created a rooster of sorts to work in tandem to help you get to where you want. Exide Life’s My Long & Happy Life Scrapbook is exactly what it seems – a scrapbook to design your life the way you see it today; outlining your past, present and future. The second book is My Money Book that focuses more on the financial planning and security that you need to arrange in order to fulfil everything outlined in the Long & Happy Life Scrapbook.

The moment I lay my hands on the books, I started working on the scrapbook instantly. It is such a glorious thing to dream and design a long and happy life. What I loved about the ‘My Money Book’ was the systematic categorization of various aspect of financial planning and an organized approach to record keeping. Not only is it a simple tool that goes a long way in ensuring all the necessary details of financial transactions are available in one single place but also is a go-to instrument in case of emergency when the head of the family is unavailable.

Every time I meet someone new and tell them I’m a mother of a 3 year young princess they just refuse to believe it. I have to prove that I’m a mom with pictures and sometimes even a phone call to my little #PrincessHeer. I more or less know where the conversation would be headed to.... ‘Oh you must surely be working out so much’. But to be honest I have not hit the gym in my entire life; forget during the post pregnancy craze.

Cook Your Way To A Beautiful You With Vinod Cookware

Fortunately I do have a pretty good metabolism along with a highly intelligent momma. She has always made sure to drill into me the connection between how I look / feel and what I eat every day. She has a simple mantra for feeling and looking gorgeous; cook and eat the food that is right for your overall health. A balanced diet is our home doctor’s prescription for beautiful skin, a toned body and an energetic lifestyle.

Over the years my mom has ensured I have foods that may not tantalize my taste buds by scaring me of discoloration, sagging skin and dark circles. I’ve realised that beauty on the outside is the result of what’s going inside which is a direct reflection of the lifestyle choices I make. I’ve seen my mom toil in the kitchen day-in-day-out to lay a spread on the table that is not only tasty but also nutritious and healthy. The only thing that she always insisted is to have home-cooked meals.

Since the time I’ve taken over the kitchen at home I’ve realised the importance of home-made food. But what I’ve discovered is that some routines live with us through generations. I so clearly remember how our kitchen was equipped with multi-layered sandwich bottom cookware from a brand called Vinod Cookware. Every time we went out to shop, mom surely stopped by our local utensil vendor to check on new products from the brand and as and when needed she added to the arsenal.

Vinod Cookware is one of the most accepted and well-loved cookware name that offers an extensive portfolio. Vinod’s range has expanded to also include state-of-the-art cooking technologies such as non-stick cookware, hard anodised cookware and more. It’s also the first to introduce the concept of sandwich bottoms in pressure cookers, and has consistently innovated and refined its product range to offer the best solutions to the Indian Kitchens. Additional to the regular product range Vinod Cookware also extends to the Health range with the very popular “VitoHealth” designed for the health conscious needs of Indian consumers.

That’s the habit I’ve inculcated from her. The only difference is that the cookware in my kitchen is very different from what she had in hers. Luckily for me, the brand has designed advanced cookware to meet the needs of the urban kitchen and built a range of products that are not only perfectly multi-tasking but also stylish and glamorous. As new technologies are introduced in all spheres of life, advancement in the healthy cooking department takes center stage. There has been a buzz in the market about water-less and oil free compatible cookware that disperses heat uniformly cooking food evenly and perfectly without adding water and oil.

Cook Your Way To A Beautiful You With Vinod Cookware

Since I am particular about how I cook as much as what I eat, I am so impressed with Vinod’s VitoHealth Cookware range of products that I was introduced to the bloggers meet last week. The range will revolutionise the way I cook. I’m a firm believer of low temperature cooking and Vito Health’s Thermo Knob feature is just a perfect cooking magician I need in my kitchen. With temperature control, I can ensure the food’s nutrients are maintained and not lost as the technology builds in a water seal as food is cooked. The Vito Health focuses on waterless and oil-free cooking that stems from the brand mantra ‘Eat Healthy Live Fit’. There are loads of benefits of cooking without added water and oil, so in a nut shell the advantages of Vito Health Cookware range are:

• Food retains more texture and flavor along with nutrients and minerals
• Allows temperature controlled cooking from low to high as per the urban need
• Technologically advanced by thermal energy that ensures no burning and sticking
• Reasonably priced compared to its competitors, backed by the Vinod warranty & sales service

So now you know what you need to do. Spend less time in the gym, get into the kitchen and cook healthy meals using the new impressive #VitoHealth #SignatureCookware to stay fit.

Start cooking, start living,

The advent of the monsoon season brings in a lot of fun, adventure and romance. Unfortunately, it also brings in some crappy things like traffic jams, water pollution, and dullness in surroundings, infections and above all hair woes. You can protect yourself again the climatic with a good diet, restrictions on street food and protection against monsoon-related infections.

L’Oréal Professionnel Deep Nourishing Hair Spa Range Review

But your hair is one thing that is always exposed to the harmful effects of the rainfall and thus you sure need to take extra care of your tresses during the monsoons. Going to the spa every other day becomes impossible and so I suggest you bring the spa home. Loads of beauty brands have now launched the hair spa ranges and you must find the one that is perfect for your crown. I tried the L’Oreal Professionnel Deep Nourishing Hair Spa Range and here are my thoughts about it.

What is Deep Nourishing Hair Spa Range all about?
L’Oreal Professionnel’s Hair Spa range claims to heal your hair from root to tip ensuring your hair strength and vitality to look beautiful inside and out. The products are infused with Water Lily that claims to have a soothing and calming effect on the hair, while it helps to detangle hair and supplements the hair fibre with nutrients and moisture for a more rehydrated, shiny and soft feel.

What are the ingredients of the Deep Nourishing Hair Spa Range?
The Deep Conditioning Hair Spa Shampoo contains SLS, Coco-Betaine, Glycerin, Glycol Distearate, Dimethicone, Sodium Chloride. Sodium Benzoate, Polyquaternium-6, Amodimethicone, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Salicylic Acid, Carbomer, Citric Acid, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicyate. Trideceth-6, Linalool, Butylphenyl, Methylpropional, Benzyl Alcohol,Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Coumarine, Cetrimonium Chlirode, Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract and Sodim Hydroxide. The Deep Conditioning Hair Spa Conditioner contains Cetearyl Alcohol, Water, Mineral Oil, Behentrimonium Chloride, Isopropyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benxyl Salicylate, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citric Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone and Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract.

How is the Deep Nourishing Hair Spa Range packaged and priced?
The range is packed in a gorgeous blue bottle and tube with a contracting grey cap. The caps are specific to packaging styles with a flip cap on the shampoo bottle and a screw cap on the conditioner tube. The range is priced at INR 400 each for the shampoo (230ml) and conditioner (200ml).

How is my experience with the Deep Nourishing Hair Spa Range?
The L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Spa range is available in two variants Deep Nourishing and Detox. The Deep Nourishing range is apt for hair that is dry and prone to getting frizzy while the Detox range is apt for hair that is oily and prone to dandruff.

L’Oréal Professionnel Deep Nourishing Hair Spa Range Review

As I started my hair spa the first thing I noticed was the texture of the products which were extremely light and breezy. The Shampoo is creamy in a very light way and foams rather well and cleans exceptionally. Thus you will need very little portions during each wash to get rid of all residual including the monsoon grease and oil. The conditioner is again pretty light to use and allows the hair to breathe well after use. It does its job of giving the extra shine and smoothness to the hair setting it well naturally.

Over the course of the day, my hair remained soft and smooth, was easy to style and most important remained in place. Since I wash my hair every alternate day I have not had a problem of dry and fizz, greasy and oiliness since some time now. However, the real test will be in the monsoon season and during my trip to Sri Lanka later this month.

Overall, I would say this range is good for all hair types and would work all over the seasons. It cleanses the scalp well and leaves the hair soft, smooth and frizz-free. The range is mild enough for everyday use and is a winner; however, the presence of SLS is a dampener due to the huge debate going around on the effects of sulphate on hair; especially as it is unadvised on my chemically straightened hair. But all-in-all, it’s a good range to use once a fortnight to achieve the small hair miracles.

Product Strengths:
§ Cleanses hair thoroughly
§ Nourishes to smoothen hair

Product Weaknesses:
§ Contains SLS and Alcohol
§ Available only in professional beauty salons

Will I purchase the range again for personal use?           Maybe
Will I recommend the range to my friends & family?        Maybe

Have you tries the Hair Spa range from L’Oreal Professionnel? What are your thoughts on the products?

You know how much I love to shop from the comfort of my home, but sometimes that gets tedious too. Switching from one tab to another, surfing through numerous websites to find that gorgeous dress or that perfect handbag erodes into my precious time and I hate that.

StyleBuys.Com, A Fashion Search Engine |Website Review

Wouldn’t it be perfect to have a specific search engine for fashion? Then all I would need to do is open the website, search through the collection across various brands and sites and shop. Well you must think that impossible. But you will be surprised just as I am to know about StyleBuys.com; a leading search engine for fashion that provides fast, convenient and enjoyable shopping experience. The platform is a summative collection of fashion websites in India offering users the convenience of shopping from one point after browsing through a huge number of products. Recently launched in India, StyleBuys is a subsidiary of Stilgiyin.com, the fashion search engine of Turkey.

The platform offers products from brands like Amazon and Flipkart to Jabong and Myntra to specialised sites like StalkBuyLove, FabAlley and Koovs, lingerie giants Zivame and PrettySecrets and luxury brand Darveys. So the tagline that they go by ‘All Shops, One Site’ is perfect for the platform. A shopper has the convenience to search via brands or categories or even specific phrases. It allows to view almost 200 products per page so it gives some amazing options at one go.

StyleBuys.Com, A Fashion Search Engine |Website ReviewThe concept of the platform is to give shoppers a comprehensive list of options available in each category across various shopping sites. The platform independently is not a shopping site. When a product is chosen it takes the shopper to the brand website to continue shopping and hence all the shopping, exchange and returns are governed by the terms of the said website and not StyleBuys as they have no control over it.

And just as I land on an exciting platform, the next thing I do is experiment and thus that’s what I did. I search and search for my upcoming Sri Lanka trip and picked a couple of maxi dresses and a beach bag. Can’t wait to receive the products and share with you my loot. However in a nut shell, here is what I think about the StyleBuys platform…

Website Strengths:
§ Great comprehensive list of products across brands
§ Allows adding products to favorites for future reference
§ Multiple search options, making the search more specific
§ Displaying 200 products per page from various brands

Website Weaknesses:
§ None I can think of

Will I repurchase / use the product again?               Definitely!
Will I recommend the product to friends?                 Sure, Yes!

What do you think about this fashion search engine?

Travel is an important part of my lifestyle, sometimes I have to pack for yet another trip before I am able to unpack from the previous one. Luckily most of my travel is within the country; else I would practically be an NRI even while living in India. However if you do travel domestically you will realise the disparity between the facilities available across all hotels and the expectation of guests.

My #OYOxplorer Adventure with OYO Rooms In Mumbai

Some of the most common problems I’ve faced over the years of shuttling between cities include but are not limited to internet connectivity, airport transfers, distance from the city center, room size and cleanliness and if all is well the price isn’t. Every time I look out for my accommodation I have to make several inquiries about the standard of the room, availability of internet and the distance of the hotel from certain points in the city. And trust me not all the information I receive is true. I’ve had numerous instances when I end up arguing at the reception and or have to request change in room for one or the other issue.

What frequent flyers like me need is a platform that understand my need and cater to the basics without having to question repeatedly. And that’s where OYO Rooms come into fill the last piece of the hospitality puzzle.
Website: www.oyorooms.com, Twitter: @oyorooms, Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/oyorooms

My #OYOxplorer Adventure with OYO Rooms In Mumbai
OYO Rooms, founded in 2013 with a single 11-room hotel in Gurgoan has now expanded to a 4000+ rooms in over 350 hotels across India. The USP of the brand is that they create a standardised room experience across all its hotels for an affordable price starting at INR 999. What the brand offers is the important basic requirements to travellers that other accommodations don’t necessarily give. As a traveller I am very particular about the cleanliness, internet connectivity and breakfast even if I have to pay additional for those facilities. So it does come as a relief that these features are offered by the Oyo Rooms without much ado and more importantly FREE!

One of my primary concerns with budget accommodations is their distance from the city center, or the fact that they are far away from the important hubs that it takes away your time and energy to get anyplace important. But the good folks at Oyo Rooms have countered that problem well with multiple locations within each city they operate in, under one roof of facilities. Even in a city like Mumbai they have rooms available in some of the most prominent locations around the airport, near commercial hubs, within walking distance of tourist attractions and some perfectly connecting locations.

My #OYOxplorer Adventure with OYO Rooms In Mumbai

However at times when I scrolled through the booking apps I was so spellbound that I thought I was hallucinating and dismiss it as unreal. This very thing happened last weekend when I was set to travel to Delhi for a work assignment and booked via a travel agent instead of the app. But as luck favors those who experiment, I was invited to be part of #OYOxplorer in Mumbai. It was an exciting invitation to spend a day discovering the hidden surprises and experience unique adventures of my beloved city and compete with fellow bloggers on a number of tasks. With an overnight stay at one of the OYO Rooms thrown in, it was just the thing that would either make the cut or break the hope in the next systematic thing in hotel booking.

When I arrived, I met the OYO Team and was welcomed at Hotel Atlantic in the heart of Mumbai on Juhu Tara Road and prominently checked into my room. I was delighted to be in a spacious room that was as clean as the international standard and with television and cable as promised. So in first look two important boxes were ticked in my must-expect list. In some time as fellow bloggers trickled in, we had the activity briefing and set out to complete the challenges set for us. With a list of 15 things to do I believed it would take forever; but surprisingly Archana and myself got going immediately as a team and were almost done in an hour and a half with just one task left.

The scorching Mumbai heat got the better of us and we headed back to the hotel, quickly freshening up and indulging in girly gossip. As the sun was about to set we rushed across the street to make more memories with Sunset Selfies. Tweeting our hearts out over a few hours was as much fun as the crazy tasks assigned. We laughed, cheered and at times sneered at the tweets coming through from bloggers who were participating from across various other cities. With 31 bloggers going berserk the hashtag kept us busy for some time before we ventured out of the room for dinner. Once back in the room we requested for Wi-Fi passwords a couple of times and were sent a data card that could be used for internet connectivity.

As requested I was woken up in the morning and once ready I headed for breakfast. The masala chai was perfect to arouse the taste buds however nothing on the breakfast spread was appetizing enough and so I just had some toast and checked out to head home. On my way home there was a clear chart that weighed heavily as I assessed the OYO Rooms.

Website Strengths:
§ Standardised rooms as specified and expected
§ Affordable budget accommodations in various parts of the city
§ Technologically driven booking system accessed on the go
§ Women's exclusive rooms in select locations, more to be added

Website Weaknesses:
§ None that I can really think of

Finally I bid adieu to my #OYOxplorer adventure with a promise to visit again.

Happy Visiting,
~ Heena

The search of your heart has lead you to your soul-mate. Now what you really need is that perfect ring to seal the deal.

Sometimes picking the right engagement ring becomes a difficult task and no amount of advice really helps. What helps are subtle hints from the flutter of your heartbeats. One thing to always keep in mind is that your engagement ring and your wedding band should complement each other and not be competitive with each other. Online help really doesn’t count as every woman is different with a diverse taste and a lust-list.

How To Choose A Ring, A Journey From Engagement Rings To Wedding Rings

As a woman, it becomes easier for me to pick the variations, just in the hope that I one day may own each of them. Some of the pairings that sure would work really very well together and why you should pick one of these pairs or go ahead be a unique combination.

Pave Band
An engagement ring which is either a diamond eternity ring or a half diamond eternity ring will compliment a super sparkler single diamond ring for the wedding. Let the solitaire take centre stage and shine on.
How To Choose A Ring, A Journey From Engagement Rings To Wedding Rings

Three Stone Rings
An engagement ring which twinkles in different directions and colours will look best with a wedding ring that has similar stones either in colour or cut. The most gorgeous of the lot will be a pair of rings in clear diamonds.

Coloured Stones
An engagement ring which incorporates a coloured gemstone in the centre or the sides will look set with a wedding band which has a similar coloured gemstone or a gemstone in a contrasting shade as a central point.
How To Choose A Ring, A Journey From Engagement Rings To Wedding Rings

Unique Style
An engagement ring that stands out as a unique shape should curve in to give way to your wedding band. Especially when an unusual shape is chosen for an engagement ring it becomes difficult to up it with a wedding band and so it is really important to get both of the rings designed to at least shortlisted at the same time.

Each of these types is available in the classic styles and modern styles. Go for a piece that you most identify with. However, if you don’t fall for what you see then customise your engagement ring as per your fancy. Sometimes you may have to research a lot before you finally find a ring and as a matter of fact, your diamond jewellery that sets the beat of your relationship sailing into a journey of a lifetime.

I am a heels person, I love towering over practically everything. I love the extra inches that heels add to my 5.3 frame making me feel indispensable. But for years I have taken a lot of liberty with my feet to feel taller and unfortunately they have suffered. Despite the unpleasantness I continue…

How To Style Block Heels, What I Wore

You may think that’s so vain, but it isn’t. It gives me immense happiness to walk on heels and feel some air under my feet! However sometimes you have to make choices and just as I was on the verge, I spun around to see the block heel trend of the early 70’s reappear. So now what I have is the opportunity to stand tall without the pain that heels bring. And boy they are on a super roll this summer with a big comeback from tall chunky blocks to low squares.

The perfect choice for the summers, you can style them with pretty much everything from your favorite dress to jeans to shorts. Block heels are even perfect for the office with a pair of grey cigarette pants or that gorgeous pencil skirt.

One rule of thumb that I prefer to follow is to keep a contrasting balance between the outfit and the footwear. As block heels demand so much attention due to its powerful presence, I like to keep the outfit less heavy in terms of style and fit. Keeping the outfit petite and the accessories minimum, teaming it with block heels make for a great combination with every detail receiving its due credit.

However as most say; Fashion has no rules, you either break them or make them. So just do what catches your fancy. Mix it up, play safe, go crazy, do anything; but just have fun cause fashion is nothing but a great game of roulette.

Here is my first look for the Clarks #MyShoeDiaries where I strike a balance between strength and delicacy. Right in the midst of the scorching summer, a Sunday Brunch is a great way to unwind with friends and family. Opting in for a cute summer dress in vibrant colors and coral lips and of course with one of the tallest block heels I could find from Clarks India.

My second look strikes a balance between casual and stylish; which can sometimes get very difficult. But not when you throw in a gorgeous pair of palazzo with a beautiful schiffli floral lace from Melange by Lifestyle and a simple tank with a few delicate pieces of jewelry. Slip your feet into the block heels to take that look several notches up. A look that is perfect for strolling around in a resort unwinding on that much needed break from the crazy city life.

I love my Ski Tropical Smart Metallic Sandals from Clarks. The truth is the block heels are a sophisticated option in the retro style that is simply impossible to resist. More importantly they are a sure shot way to sashay in style with loads of comfort. So don’t think twice, go dressy or casual in block heels and walk confidently with your hair flying in the air just like every path is your runway.
