This post is originally from IHG's Guide to EverBank

EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, is one of the top tailgating stadiums in the country. The mild Florida weather means fans can cook out and cool off throughout the football season while other parts of the country are snowed in. EverBank Stadium is home to the Jacksonville Jaguars and can seat almost 70,000. Along with the Jaguars NFL team, EverBank Field hosts college games throughout the year - like the UGA-UF rivalry game - and events and concerts for Jacksonville residents.

Things to Do at EverBank Field
The designers at EverBank Field made sure there were plenty of opportunities for excitement throughout the stadium. Guests at this stadium can grab a quick drink in the Bud Light Party Zone or spend the whole game relaxing in one of the high-end cabanas. In FanDuelVille located in the north end zone, fans can enjoy live music or dance to guest DJs who bring the party and get fans riled up for the game. Kids can play in the Jaguars Cub Club or Junior Jags, which cater to kids up until they turn 12.

Florida can get hot - especially in the summer - so visitors can also stop by the Sea Best Cool Zones with fans, air conditioning, and mist to escape the sun before returning to watch their team score a touchdown.

Hotels Near EverBank Field
There are multiple hotels for visitors to choose from for a stay in Jacksonville. The Holiday Inn Express: Jacksonville East offers a family-friendly getaway if you’re enjoying a quick vacation while watching the Jags play. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, The Hotel Indigo: Jacksonville-Deerwood Park offers a boutique experience for couples who want to escape the noise of the city and enjoy some quiet time away.

Where to Stay in Jacksonville
If you're planning a trip to Jacksonville to watch a Jaguars game, consider staying just outside of Jacksonville when you visit. Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, and Atlantic Beach are all close by (typically a 30-minute drive), which means you can stick your toes in the sand and catch some waves before cheering your team to victory!

If you want to stay closer to EverBank field, there are plenty of hotels in Jacksonville to choose from along the St. Johns River that provide easy access to the stadium and surrounding cultural sites.

How to Get to EverBank Field
Most visitors fly into Jacksonville through Jacksonville International Airport, drive down I-95, or drive across Florida on I-10. These two highways both take drivers close to EverBank Field, and there is plenty of parking for all visitors. Traffic conditions can change due to construction, so the Jaguars head office encourages visitors to check traffic beforehand and before leaving the game to see if there are alternative routes outside of the city.

Whether you're cheering on your favourite football team or catching a concert, there are plenty of activities around EverBank Field. Getting to the stadium and finding accommodation is fairly easy, which means you will have more time to enjoy the game or event during your stay.

Sacramento, California's capital city, is at the intersection of the Sacramento and American Rivers. Known as America's Most Diverse City, Sacramento boasts cultural attractions that inspire, cutting-edge cuisine that impresses, a history that enriches, and amenities that surprise travellers who venture into the city. The city has grown from a sleepy cow town to the Farm-to-Fork Capital, and Sacramento now goes by the tagline, 'California begins here'.

Weather Conditions
Sacramento has beautiful sunshine for over two-thirds of the year, making it a perfect outdoor destination to explore. The city enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Although it is pleasantly mild throughout the year, the summers from June to August become quite warm. However, the low humidity keeps the climate quite comfortable even as the temperature rises.

Getting Around
Sacramento has an extensive public transportation system with over 37 miles of light rail and 20 miles of bus services that connect to numerous destinations. Alternatively, many tourists prefer to explore the city on foot, as the grid numbering system makes navigation easy. However, the most convenient way to get around Sacramento and the surrounding suburbs is by car. Travellers can book parking spots in advance with SacPark.

Hotel Bookings
Sacramento has plenty of events to attract visitors year round. Since there's something going on at all times, the city offers numerous accommodation options, from five-star hotels to budget-friendly rooms. Travellers can choose from over 1,000 hotels, such as the luxurious Hyatt Regency or Sheraton Grand or the budget-friendly Hampton Inn and Suites or Courtyard by Marriott. Travellers can also book boutique hotels or bed and breakfasts via Hotel Planner.

Planning Experiences
With so much to do in Sacramento, you may have to narrow down your list of attractions. Here are five things that travellers must make time for during a visit to Sacramento.

1. Old Sacramento
The 28-acre National Historic Landmark District pays homage to the Gold Rush of 1849. The district is usually buzzing with activities around the museums, entertainment acts, dining experiences, and shopping escapes. The wooden sidewalks, horse-drawn carriages, and historical characters offer a glimpse of 19th-century life.

2. Farm to Fork Experience
The annual Farm-to-Fork event in Sacramento is a celebration of the region's food and beverages. The celebration isn't confined to dining experiences. Instead, it features farm tours, cooking classes, farmers markets, al fresco dinners, and wine tastings.

3. Museums
Sacramento's history is one of adventure, ambition, and hard work. The city's numerous state-of-the-art museums and historic sites capture its past beautifully. Walk down memory lane to experience the area's history and diversity.

4. Sacramento Zoo
The Sacramento Zoo offers an enriching day filled with learning, laughter, and exciting experiences. Your visit could include encounters with exotic animals, fun rides, overnight safaris, and guided zoo tours.

5. Fairytale Town
A 3.5-acre children's play park, Fairytale Town brings fairy tales and nursery rhymes to life. It inspires imagination, creativity, and literacy. This storybook park has 25 bright, colourful play sets and offers the perfect backdrop for children to perform their favourite stories.

In addition to these must-visit, must-experience things on my travel itinerary, there are loads of other interesting attractions in Sacramento.

Are you excited enough to plan your trip?

How to Plan Your Trip to Atlantic City
Whether you're a first-time visitor or a frequent traveller, here are a few pointers that will help you plan your trip better. First, check the calendar before your trip. Most hotels and resorts offer discounts all year round to attract guests, but the best time to visit is between March and August.

Atlantic City experiences four distinct seasons. The weather throughout the year varies. so make sure that you pack weather-appropriate clothing. In the summer, the humidity warrants light clothing during the day. Pack a sweater for the evening, since the seaside breeze will cause the temperature to drop. Spring and fall bring mild weather, but winters are cold, so travellers should factor in winter wear.

As a top destination, Atlantic City offers numerous accommodation options, whether you're travelling for a relaxing weekend, a fun gambling getaway, or a leisurely spa holiday. Book a luxury resort right on the beach, an affordable hotel room along the boardwalk, or a motel to suit your travel needs and budget.

It's easy to travel within Atlantic City. Use the four-route public transportation system, which includes jitneys that cost as little as $2.25 per trip. You can also hire personal scooters or opt for taxi services that are easily available and capped at $13 within the city. Don't miss your chance to walk along the boardwalk, as it's the preferred mode of getting around the city.

Things to Do in Atlantic City
As you book your accommodations, start looking for some fun activities to do in Atlantic City. As an entertainment centre, Atlantic City has an impressive lineup of events and festivals all year long, including Atlantic City Restaurant Week, the Atlantic City Airshow, the Atlantic City Boat Show, and the Atlantic City Marathon. Get to know the city's history by adding some of these top attractions to your itinerary, too.

One of the oldest and the tallest lighthouses in the United States, Abscond Lighthouse is open to the public. Climb the 228 steps to take in breathtaking views of the Atlantic City skyline or opt to become the Lighthouse Keeper during an overnight adventure.

Historic Boardwalk Hall was built in 1929 to cater to Atlantic City's growing community needs. Also known as Convention Hall and Rendezvous Park, Boardwalk Hall was planned as a self-sufficient, multipurpose event space with exquisite views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The 'In the Line of Duty' sculpture serves as a tribute to all of the New Jersey law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. This sculpture features a police officer in the image of Jersey City Detective Melvin Santiago, a police dog, and a kneeling firefighter to honour all first responders who have tragically lost their lives.

Atlantic City is known as a gaming capital, and it's home to several casinos. Be sure to visit the Borgata and Caesars. The Borgata is known for its 85-table poker room that hosts daily tournaments, while slots are the most popular game at Caesars.

So are you game for Atlantic City?

This post is originally from IHG's Guide to New York City.

New York City is the most popular destination in the world, and for good reason. With first-class entertainment options, world-famous landmarks, buzzing street activity and nightlife, it is an epicentre of culture, diversity and excitement. Your choices are seemingly endless when it comes to hotels, which means deciding which hotel to book can be a challenge, as options range from hostels to ultra-luxurious global chains. IHG® can help you find accommodations that cater to your wants and needs while you explore what makes NYC so unique.

Things to See
New York City is home to a multitude of world-renowned landmarks, so prioritizing your time during your visit is essential. For the ultimate sightseeing adventure, consider one of the hotels in Manhattan, home to the Empire State Building, Times Square, Wall Street and the 9/11 Memorial. Manhattan can easily fill your itinerary with must-dos, and a short boat ride across the harbour takes you to the Statue of Liberty. After a day of sightseeing, a stroll through Central Park is an excellent way to unwind.

Hotels in New York City
New York City hosts almost 55 million visitors each year and offers an incredible array of destinations and attractions to explore. Regardless of when you go, where you stay or what you do, there are plenty of hotels to fit your specific needs, and by booking through IHG, you are assured a great stay while you explore New York.

Where to Stay
When considering hotels in New York City, first choose your ideal borough, since each has its own character, advantages and charms. You may want to be closer to the multicultural cuisine of Queens or the tree-lined streets of Brooklyn. Midtown Manhattan is a prime location for visitors wanting to be within walking distance of Broadway plays or 5th Avenue shops, although they can be expensive. If you want to be in the middle of the action, look for a Times Square hotel location. Luckily, there are many reasonably priced hotels inside and outside of Manhattan, and getting around is easy.

How to Get to New York City
The New York City metropolitan area is served by three key airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport, La Guardia Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, which is only 15 miles from Manhattan. Those visiting the city by rail will enjoy the iconic Grand Central Terminal or Pennsylvania Station, the city's two main railway stations. Travellers with shorter stays may find New York City hotels near major transportation hubs more convenient and more budget-friendly.

The thought of getting around the city can be intimidating for first-time visitors, but travelling throughout the city and its five boroughs are surprisingly easy, thanks to the extensive Metro subway system. Along with its low cost and a vast network of routes, the Metro is an efficient way to explore the city. In addition, you can easily hail a cab for a direct route to your destination.
