Pepe Jeans Junior has become synonyms with #PrincessHeer’s wardrobe. Every time we head out to shop, she instantly chants the Pepe Jeans anthem. When the brand invited us to preview the Spring Summer 2017 collection last month, PrincessHeer practically #PepeWalkThisWay.

The SS17 collection has brought back the Portobello Road to the stores with its eclectic style as a constant source of inspiration. The collection revolves around the gorgeous famed street, infused with attitude and a natural stage to sashay forward with an inhibited spirit. The neighbourhood is part of the act, witness to the length of the road, experiencing its mix of attitude and style.

Summer freshness is captured in this collection, ideal to complement the colour palette for the Indian summers. The collected upped the game with the Blue Soul, Super Ego, Portobello, Viva Cuba and Only Play Collection not only for adults but similar styles adapted for the little ones as well. Both Heer and I particularly loved the #50ShadesofBlue with sparks of corals and reds, and the Tropical prints, Pigment Dyes, Bleach Washes along with the Tie Dyes, Quirky Patchwork, Aztecs, IKats, Batik and Embroidery. The light fabrics, vibrant colours and unique styles are a must that scream street style with a touch of swag.

My favourite corner has to be the Junior section, where I found everything that would make it to my summer must-haves list for Heer. From beautiful dresses to basic tees to gorgeous skirts and tops were beautifully stacked on the racks and shelves in the store. So Heer went ahead and let loose to upgrade her #summer wardrobe.

Look 1: Basic TShirt (Buy Here) with Tie-Dye White Shorts (Buy Here)

Look 2: Aztec Print Blue Top (Buy Here) with Peach Filigree Skirt (Buy Here)

I would highly recommend that you walk into the store today.

In the meanwhile, with these two looks, Heer is joining the #PepeWalkThisWay digital catwalk. You can be a part of the brand history, submit a still or moving image of you in your neighbourhood walking towards the camera with an attitude that screams "London W11th” and share it on social media with the hashtag #PepeWalkThisWay and follow Pepe Jeans on Facebook and Twitter for updates.

Until next time,

My gorgeous little one was to turn FIVE on the 18th of November and I was looking forward to celebrating the day with her all dressed up in a beautiful gown, true princess style. I expected her to want a Barbie themed party or even Sofia the First; however to my surprise she looked at me while watching Disney and chose PJ Masks. I thought the sweet little babe of mine would forget all about it the next day; but she got talking about the décor, costume and much more.

She seemed obsessed with PJ Masks, especially Owlette a red-eyed girl who transforms into an Owl wearing a red costume with cape-like wings and moves around in an Owl Glider. I smiled and got working. What I didn’t realise was that PJ Masks stuff is hard to come by, they have no decorations or toys, not even at the Disney Store or any other place in a city like Mumbai. So huge preparations began amidst the chaos for my little Owlette! As it’s a new show, I hardly know anything about it, but #PrincessHeer filled me in completely. We got creative, worked with what we had available and called on a few favours from friends.

We found a local costume shop willing to make a costume in 3 days, and then I called upon a friend based in the US to send us the figurines for the cake and the Owlette mask. A dear friend Ruchika who is a home baker at ChocoRika, agreed to make the cake as per the birthday girl’s suggestions n requests. No soon this was confirmed, we sent out the invites. For the décor we stuck with the blue, green and red theme to represent Catboy, Owlette and Gecko with balloons, character cut-outs and streamers. We printed and cut-out a ton of wristbands and punch gloves for all the kids to wear. The food was managed by the restobar Brass Monkey and they did a fine job of it; while the pictures were taken by Rutik Shah.

I insisted that she change into a dress for the cake-cutting and she readily agreed. All in all the party turned out to be great, mind you the post is image heavy.

What do you think? Did we do well?

The festivities are just around the corner and if you haven’t yet decided what to wear and where to shop, you will be sorted once you read this post. Working full time, I’ve had zero time to plan my looks for the festive season but the moment I stepped into BIBA I knew I could relax.

BIBA is by far the most loved ethnic brand that is synonymous with fashion-forward Indian wear that beautifully brings together the traditional finery with contemporary comfort. I’m particularly drawn towards their new collection perfect for the upcoming festive season that boasts of spectacular colour, amazing silhouettes and unrestricted combinations. At the store, I was like a little like in a candy store wanting to pick everything I saw, until I finally but with great difficulty made up my mind. Mirroring my excitement was my little one who literally tried the entire Girls collection and made her selection.

Here we are sharing blog space for the very first time in an exclusive Mommy-Baby feature for BIBA. I teamed a Blue Straight fit sheer kurta with a fuchsia flared skirt to highlight the fuchsia embellished border at the hem. I styled the look with statement earrings from Vintage Desi and a box purse by Metaphor. My little one is dressed in a lemon yellow and pink lehenga choli.

And do leave me your comments about what you think about our look.

Pepe Jeans Forays Into Kids Wear, What Heer Wore, #PrincessHeer

Early last month, Pepe Jeans launched it’s first every children’s wear collection in India, emphasising how children can have fun with clothes. The brand invited #mommybloggers in Mumbai for the launch of the capsule with the Autumn Winter 2015 collection that caters to children between the ages of 4 to 12 years.

The collection is a mix of classic casuals including denim jackets, jeans and cool printed t-shirts fro boys and cute denim shorts and skirts, bright coloured jeans, playsuits tops and dresses for girls. Bright colours and creative themes, perfectly wearable and comfortable in the spirit of the new season.

During the event celebrities walked the ramp with their little ones decked in the collection that looked perfectly in sync with the core of Pepe’s fashion DNA. The collection seemed a natural progression into the Kids wear range to reach a wider more youthful and exuberant audience.

The colour palette remains the ethereal Indigo with 2 story lines for the girls and 3 story lines for the boys. The girls range consist of a combination of light and dark hues of blue that are washed, mixed and blended and then combined with pale reds, pinks and grey. The pieces are fun and modern; perfect for the playful littles girls. The boys range has an huge impression of graphic prints within the hues of bleached skies highlighted with brick red and gold.  The collection is exclusively available at the Pepe Jeans store in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore and retails at INR 499 onwards.

Here is how #PrincessHeer styled her cute little dress from the collection. The gorgeous outfit and style highlighted her porcelain skin and her playful nature.

Photoshoot With My Princess

After a lot of rescheduling and reaching a point of cancelling the whole idea, due to our respective hectic schedules, we finally made it on none other than Father's Day this year for a long overdue photo shoot with renowned photographer Mani Hora.

A beaming me debated what to wear... finally settling on a Zara bottom and a PDP shirt-top. Princess was dressed in her trademark Gini & Jony shorts and tee...and hubby was all set for the rains in a Tommy Hilfiger  jeans and Blackberry shirt.

Mani such a lovely guy....cool composed and totally into his love - photography.

We drove around Lokhandwala amidst pouring rain scouting for a good location. The area is gorgeous especially the back road which is usually very quiet and there are some really good spots... a low bridge, a garden, a long stretch of road overlooking a canal, and much more… We started off with a few test shots against a construction site when it started pouring cats and dogs. Loads of people too were out enjoying the romantic weather and that too posed a problem as we weren't getting clear pictures. We are hopeful but the rain continued to play spoilsport.

After a while, we threw caution to the wind.... read rain and posed just about everywhere and anywhere.

We stopped and clicked a few pictures, then rushed back into the car. Even in the most chaotic situation, we had such an awesome time. Mani had his inputs and we had ours, we experimented with both.

Such a crazy day filled with love, love and more love - just as the saying goes, 'HEAVEN ON EARTH'.

The pictures speak for themselves.

At one point a couple of people came over and requested us for autographs.

Until soon, keep visiting,
