Exams are among one of the most stressful events in the life of a student. This is especially stressful when competitive exams like NEET can be a life-changing event for them. Every student who aspires to become a doctor must write the NEET exam to secure a seat in one of the top medical colleges in India. However, the road to success, like most others is bumpy and can lead to stress, pressure, and anxiety. Some students thrive under pressure, and work harder, whereas for some students the stress and expectations can be overbearing.

If your child is preparing for the NEET exam, it is natural for them to be stressed out owing to the vast syllabus and expectations. Most of the time is spent at school, tuitions and coaching classes. To top it further, most students are required to travel a lot to their coaching centers and tuitions. This can lead to frustration, tiredness, and stress. However, students can study from home through NEET video lectures on platforms like Aakash iTutor. Using NEET video lectures can save time, and allow students to work at their own pace.

Here are common signs of stress that can help you identify if your child is stressed out:
§  Anxiety
§  Change in appetite
§  Becoming withdrawn and isolation themselves
§  Depression
§  Headaches
§  Irritable and Restless
§  Loss of concentration and focus
§  Frustration and anger

Here’s how you can help your child if they are stressed out:

Offer Your Support
If you are worried about your child being stressed out due to examination pressure, offer them your support and reassurance. Encourage your child to open up and share what they are going through in their life. It is imperative to talk to your child about their daily lives, and not just studies. Ask them if they are worried about not living up to their expectations, or they are anxious about not completing the syllabus on time. If your child is bottling up their stress, it is best to help them let it out. The more it stays inside, the worse it is for their well-being. It is also likely that they are stressed out because of something outside studies.

Coping Mechanisms
Stress is a frequent problem, and it might seem like your child is stuck between stress due to varying factors. However, there are solutions. In psychology, coping means to invest your conscious effort to solve personal and interpersonal problems. It is done to minimize or tolerate stress and mental conflict. Some coping mechanisms like breathing exercises, meditation, working out and more can be beneficial in curbing down stress. Exercising, working out, or playing a sport is especially beneficial for examination stress. These mechanisms help in distracting students by changing their focus. When students invest their time in a sport, it enables them to channel frustration and anger. If your child is feeling restless, yoga is extremely beneficial for their well-being.

Balanced Diet
It has been stressed enough by doctors, that a balanced diet is vital for the physical and mental welfare of children. High-fat food, sugary drinks, and caffeine can make children irritable and moody. It is imperative to limit the intake of junk food, and instead switch it with healthy food habits.

Enough Sleep
Proper and complete REM sleep cycles will make your child more active the next day. Sleep is as important as eating, and making sure your child is not overworking themselves is your job. Proper sleep improves memory and is known to sharpen attention levels. Consolidated sleep is essential for memory, and is effective in improving the concentration and performance.

Recreation
Time may be a luxury when your child is neck deep into studies and preparing for competitive exams. However, recreation can make a student productive, and it can breathe a new life into them. Taking breaks is essential when one is preparing for competitive studies. Encourage your child to take breaks and let them go outside in the open. A change of scenery can be advantageous and is highly recommended. Alternatively, you should also take your child out for dinner, or a movie occasionally.

Exams can be a challenging part of a student’s life, and stress can be counterproductive to their preparation. The points mentioned above can help students in overcoming stress. However, parents must ensure that their kids are not over-stressed and that their expectations are not unreasonable.

Bangalore has recently earned the place of the most visited city in India for business and why not? The city has a number of posh tech parks, hosting IT giants from all over the world. Bangalore might be called the ‘Silicon Valley of India’, but it is very different from its namesake, San Francisco. As I have learned, Bangalore has its own charm and has plenty to offer any traveller. If this is your first time to Bangalore, on a business trip, here are a few things you need to know before you get there.

Travel Safe And Beat The Madness
Once you land in the Kempegowda International Airport, you should have no problems finding transport. There are a host of airport taxis and Volvo buses to the city. But the safest option is to book yourself an Uber or an Ola cab. They’re much cheaper than the Airport Taxis and safer than most transport options. In fact, these apps are a safe bet whenever and wherever you want to travel. Getting around Bangalore can be a hectic task, especially during rush hour. You could be stuck in traffic for hours, so make sure you ask your hotel’s concierge when’s the best time to leave.  Plus, you could always carry a good book or a pair of earphones to keep yourself occupied. Also, stay clear of autorickshaws! Most drivers are opportunistic and can charge exorbitant amounts of money for short distances. If you do want to try them, however, make sure you ask the driver for the price in advance. You could also take a ride in the city’s metro to get a feel for life here. If you’re planning to travel long distances, rent a car from popular companies, including Zoomcar or Myles.
Find Your Home Away from Home
When it comes to choosing accommodation, it’s best to choose a quality establishment close to your workplace. Most business hotels are located miles away from the airport, so don’t look for accommodation here. Localities like Whitefield, Domlur, Marathahalli, CV Raman Nagar, Sarjapur Road, Hebbal, and Electronic City have the biggest IT Parks in the city and therefore the most number of business hotels. You’ll find everything from posh five-star establishments to more budget-friendly accommodations. Most of the corporates travelling frequently for the business purpose prefer budget accommodation. Treebo Business Hotels in Bangalore are the best budget accommodation option for corporates offering quality services, branded amenities with efficient service.
Shop Smart
If you want to pick up a few souvenirs for your loved ones back home, head to one of Bangalore’s many commercial districts and budget-friendly local markets. If you’re planning to visit a local market, make sure you go along a friend from the city. Most shopkeepers will take advantage of tourists, so having a local friend to guide you and bargain for you is a huge advantage. Also, make sure you check the goods for damage before you buy them. This is because, usually, you won’t be able to return or exchange them. If you don’t have any local friends though, I’d suggest that you stick to shopping at malls.

A Culture Hot Pot
A good population of people in Bangalore aren’t natives of the city, giving it a diverse range of cultures and languages. Most people here are either bilingual or multilingual. So, if you don’t speak Kannada, don’t worry. You could easily get away with English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu or Malayalam. The people here are also pretty friendly and welcoming. Make a few friends here and you will truly experience the city.

Find the Best Grub and Ale
Bangalore is known for its delicious food. It doesn’t matter what you’re in the mood for, Bangalore has it all. Right from Middle-Eastern, Korean, Japanese, European, Mexican, Chinese to Tibetan. A word of caution, if you have a weak tummy, do not try the street food. Also, don’t drink the tap water here. Every hotel and restaurant sell bottled mineral water, just ask and you shall receive. If you don’t care to venture out, you could always have a meal at your hotel. Places like Treebo provide food within the premises. If you do have a few treats that you can’t live without, bring them along, as not many convenience stores may stock them. Bangalore has a number of pubs around the city, but nightlife here is cut short, with a curfew of 11:30 p.m. That shouldn’t stop you from having a great time however. If you love ales, sample a few craft beers from the city’s numerous microbreweries and bars. A few places to try are Toit, the Big Brewsky, Windmills Craftwork, the Biere Club, and the Arbor Brewing Company.
Discover the City
Bangalore is known for its beautiful parks, make sure you visit the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens and Cubbon Park. The city is culturally rich and boasts a number of contemporary art museums and performance theatres. If you’re lucky, catch a play at Ranga Shankara in JP Nagar or Jagriti in Whitefield. You could also visit the Indian Cartoon Gallery at the Indian Institute of Cartoonists for a lesson in Indian cartoons. Also, visit the National Gallery of Modern Art, Bangalore Palace, Bannerghatta National Park, and UB City.
If you have more time, visit Bangalore’s neighbouring cities, including Mysore, Shravanabelagola, Halebidu, Belur and Coorg. These cities are steeped in history and are wonderful places for both Indian and foreign tourists.
Now that you have an idea of what the city’s like, plan ahead. The first time might seem intimidating, but you’ll  love the warmth and culture of Bangalore. If you fall in love with the city like many others before you, come back and visit again.

Next on the list of these crazy monsoon trends are Culottes. Culottes are the new fashion trend doing the rounds right now! And why not? They’re a fantastic and chic piece of clothing that makes the monsoons a lot more brighter and livelier for you and everyone looking at you as well.
This piece of clothing can make a wonderful addition to your clothing closet and can make you look lovely and radiant! Culottes are actually a very creative creation! They are a blender mix of a lot of different traditional women’s’ clothing. They are a fusion between women’s trousers, a skirt, palazzos and even pyjamas! That’s right! It can be described as a sort of knee-length trouser cut up to look like a skirt, with the looseness and freeness of a pyjama and a palazzo. You can even get these culottes with a matching top to look complimentary as well! A nice t-shirt, a casual overcoat, a simple top or a fashionable buttoned up shirt will go very well with this. Add a waist belt as well to this attire and you’re good to go! Be it casual or formal wear, you can’t go wrong with Culottes.

This subtly charming pair of bottom ware can be found between Rs 499 to Rs 1299. Ether is a very nice brand that makes top quality Culottes among other clothing options. A nice product for those looking to buy this item is the Beige Printed Culottes on the online web store Jabong, available only for Rs 1000 currently. Further, apply the given Jabong coupons to save additional Rs 150 on your order.

Shorts
Monsoons can no doubt be really pretty, and one can have a lot of fun getting wet in the rains - but that’s only if it is planned. Walking around in the monsoon can be a very dirty and troublesome affair.
There are a lot of puddles, dirt, mud and other things that can make your clothes dirty. The splash back on your leg can leave your full-length pants stained with dirt. Getting caught unprepared in such a weather can be very problematic. Especially trudging around with wet pants. So, this rainy reason dress smartly by being prepared! Shorts are a very important aspect because not only can they very practical and efficient, but they are also don’t have the risk of getting any stains or dirt. It also enables you to be free and comfortable. A very nice and reputed brand of shorts is Alba! Been around for a number of years, their shorts are comfortable and stylish all the same! Users wishing to buy a new pair of shorts, we recommend you get the Alba Navy printed shorts.

Shorts are usually found in a price range of Rs 500 to Rs 1000, and this pair is relatively cheap for its quality! Myntra, the online fashion web store is where you’ll find this pair, and many others should you choose to expand your closet and get your wardrobe monsoon ready! And they have their very own exclusive monsoon offers as well to make this purchase an even sweeter one for customers.

Flip Flops
Moving on to the footwear section now, and the first item is the most obvious one- Flip Flops! Flip Flops are the ultimate monsoon season essential! Buy a fashionable pair of chic slippers and get on the bandwagon of stylish women flaunting their amazing footwear. Flip flops can come in an assortment of styles, colours and designs. Some of the trendy and hip flip flops come with sparkling beads, colourful embellishments, printed or striped designs and many more different patterns, all to make people wish they “walked a mile in your shoes… or flip flops, should we say?” So now, don an equally trendy matching outfit along with a pair of dazzling flip flops and dress on point! The beauty of this footwear is the sheer match-ability of it! There is barely anything that someone cannot wear with flip flops. A pair of shorts, tracks, trousers, a shirt, a casual t-shirt… the list is endless. They all go very well with flip flops.
And what’s more? Not only can flip flops be cool and hip, they are also very efficient and convenient more than anything else, especially when the rain showers come. That is because it is so easy to slip on or take off, and the best part is that they dry up very quickly as well! In comparison, shoes and other forms of footwear take ages to dry.

Flip Flops can range anywhere between Rs 200 to Rs 999. But hurry, because stores like Flipkart have sales with a discount rate up to Rs 50 percent off! Our recommendation for a nice pair of flip flops are the Adidas Aril Attack 2017 MS Slippers for their lightness, firm grip even on wet ground and their stylish look that will make you seem like a poolside model!

Wellington Boots
Last on the list of trendy chic fashion wear is another pair of footwear. Wellington Boots are the Godfather of shoes, so to speak. They are big, they are grand, they are helpful and they are as stylish as can be! The best part about these Wellington boots are the fact that they are unisex! That’s right! These all in one Wellington boots can be worn by men and women alike. And the amazing aspect of it is, is that they can look dashing, so they are an efficient as well as a bold fashion statement. They are sort of like gum boots, but bigger in nature. These are very helpful especially during the rainy season! The secret behind them being so highly convenient during the monsoons, is hidden in the technique of how they’re made. These are crafted with the specific aim of being waterproof even in the heaviest of rain showers or the deepest of puddles, and hence they are large enough to come up till a person’s knees. Moreover, these wellington boots are usually made of either rubber or plastic, since they are materials which do not water in. The length of the boots coupled with their material is what makes it such a big asset. The fashion quotient of it is just a bonus to users!

Wellington Boots on average can be ordered for an amount of anywhere between Rs 999 to Rs 2999. A very reputable brand for buying these rain shoes is Abbey Dale. Users wishing to buy a pair of Wellington boots for this monsoon season can order the amazing Willy Winkies Wellington Boots at just Rs 1999!

So now, this monsoon season get any of these amazing trendy fashion items and boost your confidence as well as the fashionista in you! Let the rains pour down, because with these fabulous products, you’ll be the trendiest person in the room.

The best part about the products listed above is that they are not just very chic. They are also equally comfortable as they are useful! Some other very nice and helpful products users can don this monsoon season are wind sheeters, jackets, gum boots, a colourful umbrella or even some trendy poppy jackets! Add these to your arsenal of clothes and indulge in the trends of the season. Once you get these, nothing can “dampen” your style!

It is a given in these digital times that your selfie game will be on point even if your makeup isn't. I've seen that whenever I'm headed, everyone is constantly taking selfies… individual or group. However, not many phones allow you the luxury of gorgeous selfies, but fret not! With OPPO F3 Plus you can up your game without much effort. Well known for its amazing phones OPPO India Mobiles have launched the OPPO F3 Plus with dual cameras, that’s perfect for clicking great selfies.

The stand out feature for the phone is two front cameras, a 16MP camera with the standard 80° wide angle for individual selfies and an 8MP camera with a 120° wide angle for group selfies. The built-in Smart Facial Recognition feature notifies the user to switch to the group selfie mode when it detects more than a couple of faces on the camera lens.

Apart from the front cameras the OPPO F3 Plus also has a 16MP outstanding rear camera which clicks high-quality pictures with fast focus even in low-light, ensures you get amazing pictures on the go. Some other highlights of the phone are its robust battery that gives you 2 hours on the phone for 5 minutes of charging and its expandable storage that gives you the bandwidth to keep all your data without having to delete any information.

I used the OPPO F3 Plus on my summer getaway to Singapore, and just like every travel enthusiast I wanted beautiful, clear pictures of my trip to the Singa city. Being a person who isn’t that technology savvy, the OPPO F3 made my picture experience a sail through with its amazing camera configuration, battery endurance and the built-in features for editing. After having used it, my mobile review would definitely recommend this phone in the gorgeous gold and rose gold versions which are now available, and will never go out of fashion. The phone has definitely changed the way I function on an everyday basis, not ceasing to impress me each time I go click-click-click.

Isn't the colour contrast and sharpness similar to that of a DSLR? It absolutely is.

So if you are thinking of getting a new smartphone, look no further than the OPPO F3 Plus.

Until next time,

The diversity that we see is our country, can also be seen in the unique blend of home décor that is available in the Indian markets today. The Indian consumer today is extremely versatile and is on the look-out of products that are traditional yet modern, are showpieces yet useful, and are simple yet technically advanced.

As a professional and a homemaker, as a mother and a wife, my passion lies in decorating my home keeping in mind the sensibilities of our culture, the privacy of my family and the safety of my child along with the utility, the quality, and the minor yet important features of a product. The majority of players in the Indian market are primarily restricted to traditional handicraft based home furnishing products or modern import oriented products. Deco Home, an extension of the brand Deco Window has identified the need of an urbanised generation and created a dynamic line of home décor products that resonate with the personal style and taste of the Indian consumer. The brand offers a huge range of home décor solutions that includes classic and modern profiles, where each piece is engineered for durability, functionality and aesthetics. The highlight of the brand is that it offers ‘Complete Solutions’ with endless possibilities to indulge in any design impulse.

This season the brand has diversified from window solutions to home solutions that will cater to every type of consumer. After browsing through the extensive range of products both existing lines and new launches, I’m bringing you five of my favourite products that are soon going to find space in my home.

Luxury Bedding Set
Deco Home gives your bedroom a makeover with their complete luxury bedroom sets. The 100% cotton product includes one king-size bedsheet, one duvet cover, two standard pillow covers, two cushion covers and one embroidered cushion cover. Just imagine that feeling when your room looks straight out of a movie set.

Designer Cushion Covers
An extension to design sensibilities used for the new range of curtains in paisley, arabesque, geometric and solid, the complementing cushion covers add spark, texture, and personality to space it will adorn.  Not only do these tiny elements of luxury add to the décor but also make you want to snuggle in the comfort of the space.

Space Fill Seals
Gaps between the doors and windows are not only pretty annoying, but hazardous too, if you have a young child at home. I’ve had instances of when my daughter’s foot has been caught between these spaces and has taken a long time to heal. The innovative space seal from the brands’ Home Improvement range is perfect to fill these gaps and ensure privacy, safety and convenience.

Garden Torch Lights
Deco Windows’ staple outdoor accessory, the garden torch transforms your urban-modern space into a tropical paradise. A perfect way to add light to the balcony, garden, patio; the garden torch is light-weight, weather-proof and easy to assemble. With four different ways that the product can be set, it makes for an ideal gift option too.

With all aspects of lifestyle getting technologically advanced, Deco Windows’ state-of-the-art motorized curtains, makes life systematically simpler. The advanced technological innovation enables to open and close curtains through a remote, across your home without having to move around or manually change it. This is truly refined living.
