Food Ventures Into The Digital Space With Vikas And Vir

The moment one hears the word food, one automatically begins to conjure images of yummy dishes and starts salivating flavours in the mouth. Yes, this happens to me all the time. When I read about food, hear about food and most when I see food, my mind does a thing of its own and travels far and beyond to experience things itself. Whenever I have a few precious seconds, I browse the internet to read interesting and more importantly unique content about food; learn through tips from renowned chefs and food connoisseurs. Some of the most fun reads have been from fellow food bloggers and home-chefs who go all out experimenting with food and dish out interesting food-tales.

2015 has seen a lot of freaky food trends that a lot of people are now warming up to including the Monstrous Black Burgers, Charcoal in Food and even Deep Fried Milkshakes. One of my crazy #Foodventures that I must share with you is Inhalable Drinks that I tried during my recent trip to Sri Lanka. The mixologist at the Tea Heritance Factory in Nuwara Eliya took my tea experience to an entirely new level when he converted my flavoured tea into fogs that I could savour through my eyes and lungs, tantalise my tastebuds in more ways than one.

Recently at the India Food Bloggers Awards, a dear friend Monish Chandan got hooked onto Liquid Nitrogen filled Caramel Popcorn. The popcorn is popped with liquid nitrogen which is at -196C and feels weightless due to the Leidenfrost Effect and makes popcorn super cold without making it damp or soggy. Am sure it was a great food venture experience; Monish just couldn’t stop popping the popcorn.

With all these new food experiments and my interest in food adventures, I landed  on #Foodventures a fun initiative by Star Chef Vikas Khanna and Food Critic Vir Sanghvi. Axis Bank’s Dining Delights combines all things food for the food lover in me from combining the unexpected while exploring the world of food, exploring and chasing cultural experiences through food.

Do you have any such fun unique food experiences to share? Whatever is your answer to that, you must #foodventure into the anecdotes, tips and recipes by Vikas & Vir and be motivated to create your own #foodventures to share on the digital world of food that connects us together.
